Jesus is With You Always, Always
"Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, {even} unto the end of the world. Amen."
As we read Jesus' final words to his disciples, we're reminded of the incredible promise He makes to us as His followers. Not only does He command us to observe all the things He's taught us, but He also assures us that He'll be with us always. This isn't just a comforting thought; it's a guarantee. Jesus is with us in our joys and our struggles, in our triumphs and our failures. He's with us always, even when we can't feel His presence. And that's exactly what we need to remember when life gets tough.
Fear Not, You Are Filled with Power
"For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind."
As we navigate the challenges of life, it's easy to get caught up in fear and anxiety. But Scripture reminds us that God has not given us a spirit of fear. Instead, He has given us a spirit of power, love, and a sound mind. This is a powerful promise that can transform our lives and give us the confidence to face whatever comes our way. When we realize that we are not alone and that God is with us, we can tap into His power and love, and experience peace in the midst of uncertainty.
A Word for Today: Isaiah 26:3
"Thou wilt keep {him} in perfect peace, {whose} mind {is} stayed {on thee}: because he trusteth in thee. {perfect...: Heb. peace, peace} {mind: or, thought, or, imagination}"
"Thou wilt keep {him} in perfect peace, {whose} mind {is} stayed {on thee}: because he trusteth in thee. {perfect...: Heb. peace, peace} {mind: or, thought, or, imagination}" — Isaiah 26:3 What a powerful reminder from God's Word! This verse was written thousands of years ago, yet it speaks with fresh relevance to our lives today. God's truth never grows old or loses its power. As you go through your day, carry this verse with you. When challenges arise, when doubts creep in, or when you feel overwhelmed, return to this promise. God's Word is alive and active, and it will accomplish what He intends.
Jesus, the Only Way to the Father
"Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me."
So today, take a deep breath and remember that you're not alone. Jesus is with you, guiding you, and leading you closer to the Father. Trust in His goodness and His promises, and know that you're on the right path.
God's Presence in Every Step
"Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the LORD thy God, he {it is} that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee."
As we navigate life's challenges, it's easy to feel overwhelmed and fearful. But today's verse reminds us that we don't have to face anything alone. The Lord is with us, and He will never fail us or abandon us. His presence is our greatest source of strength and courage. When we feel weak or uncertain, remember that He is our Rock, our Refuge, and our ever-present Help. Draw near to Him, and let His peace and reassurance calm your heart.
Renewing Our Strength in God's Presence
"But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew {their} strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; {and} they shall walk, and not faint. {renew: Heb. change}"
So let's come to God in His presence, and wait upon Him. Let's surrender our weakness and our fears to Him, and trust in His promise to renew our strength. With God, we can rise above our limitations and experience a life of freedom, joy, and purpose.
Guided by God's Word, Step by Step
"NUN. Thy word {is} a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path. {lamp: or, candle}"
When we trust in God's word, we can walk with confidence, knowing that He's always with us. His word is a source of wisdom, comfort, and strength, helping us to make decisions and face challenges with courage and faith. So let's take a deep breath, trust in God's guidance, and take the next step with Him.
Finding Strength in Christ
"I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me."
So, what does it look like to live out this verse in our daily lives? It means recognizing that our strength comes not from within ourselves, but from Christ. It means surrendering our fears and doubts to Him, and trusting that He will guide us and empower us to succeed. As we do, we'll find that we're capable of far more than we ever thought possible.
Casting Your Cares on God's Loving Heart
"Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God."
As you pray, remember to come to God with a heart of thanksgiving. Thank Him for His presence in your life, for His love and care, and for the promise of His presence in the midst of your struggles. And as you bring your requests to Him, trust that He is working everything out for your good.
