Renewed Strength
But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.
— Isaiah 40:31
Exhaustion is real — physical, emotional, and spiritual. There are seasons when we feel completely drained, when even getting out of bed feels like a battle. Isaiah 40:31 is not a promise that life will be easy, but it is a promise that God will sustain those who wait on Him. The word 'wait' here carries the idea of expectant hope — like a runner in the starting blocks, leaning forward in anticipation. When you feel like you have nothing left, lean into God. His strength is made perfect in your weakness.
Prayer
God, I am tired. I confess I have been trying to run on my own strength. Renew me today. Fill me with Your Spirit so I can face what is ahead. Amen.
